Project
The subject matter of the project is to conduct a non-inferiority study using the FlexiOss® biocomposite for bone regeneration compared to the current standard of care in patients with primary acute bone loss due to trauma. The project is being conducted as part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, which is part of Investment D3.1.1 Comprehensive Research Development in Medical and Health Sciences.
Project objective
The project activities will evaluate the efficacy of FlexiOss® bone substitute material in the treatment of bone defects in acute primary bone defects of the lower limb and foot compared to the treatment standard.
Planned results
The FlexiOss® material will act as a scaffold to support bone regeneration, and the main determinant of effectiveness will be the patient’s recovery with rehabilitation included.
